Dinner & Discussion
Awakenings is a NEW Sunday evening adventure
that began October 19, 2008, featuring a creative ecumenical worship experience followed by a shared meal and discussion.
The 40-minute informal service is patterned after the manner of Taize, alternating simple yet spiritually profound songs with prayers, poems, and readings from scripture and contemporary theology. The schedule each Sunday is:
5:45 PM - Worship
6:30 PM - Meal and Discussion Everyone is invited for the full experience, or to attend one or the other piece depending on their interest and availability.
Awakenings is a community gathering of welcome for all who seek inspiration and support on their spiritual journey. It is especially for those interested in intentional diversity and committed to progressive thought and action as embodied in the practices of:
